Experience:
Mr. Irizarry is a former in-house counsel and
attorney for a group of insurance companies, whose experience spans
for over 30 years in Federal Civil Litigation, in the areas of
serious personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice,
serious truck/car accidents, product liability, premises liability,
property damages, insurance claims, business tort, commercial
insurance coverage disputes, fidelity and surety law, large loss
subrogation claims, administrative proceedings before the Office of
the Insurance Commissioner of Puerto Rico, federal civil rights,
contracts and general civil litigation.
Mr. Irizarry has
been counsel for the two biggest local banks in complex commercial
financing deals and in the restructuring of complex commercial loans
and corporate guarantees.
He has been counsel also for the
second and third most important newspapers in Puerto Rico. By
agreement between the Bankruptcy Trustee and the largest law firm in
Puerto Rico, he was retained as counsel for the liquidation of El
Mundo Newspapers assets and accounts receivable portfolio.

As Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, he coordinated the
P.R. Chamber of Commerce's First Legislative Program and the lobbying
efforts which followed for the approval of the proposed bills;

Legislative Forums for the entity with the Chairmen of the most
important Senate and House of Representative committees related to the
commercial sector.
