Referral Fees
The Puerto Rico Bar allows us to pay attorneys' fees to lawyers who refer cases to our firm. It encourages lawyers to refer cases to other lawyers who are more knowledgeable in certain areas of the Law.
An attorney who refers us a case may desire to act as "co-counsel", sharing the actual work and expenses of the case. Referral fees are subject to negotiation on a case by case basis.
The client, in any event, pays the same overall fee amount, regardless of how many lawyers share in the fee or work on the case.
